District Goals

2025-2026 Greenport UFSD Goals

The Greenport Union Free School District Board of Education affirms the following goals for the 2025–2026 school year:

1. Strengthen Academic Outcomes Through High-Quality Instruction and Tiered Supports

  • Implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) districtwide to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
  • Utilize data-driven practices, including LinkIt and local benchmarks, to inform instruction and intervention.
  • Support professional development aligned to district priorities including curriculum coherence, formative assessment, and inclusive instruction.

2. Promote a Safe, Inclusive, and Respectful School Environment

  • Implement and monitor K–12 Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programming, including PurposeFull People at the elementary level.
  • Enhance bullying prevention efforts across all grade levels by implementing DASA protocols with fidelity, expanding proactive programming, providing staff training, and increasing student awareness.
  • Review and strengthen disciplinary systems to ensure consistency, fairness, and alignment with the updated Code of Conduct.
  • Expand partnerships with families and community organizations to support wellness, belonging, and student safety.

3. Improve Communication and Strengthen Family & Community Engagement

  • Share timely, multilingual information across platforms to ensure accessibility and transparency.
  • Increase opportunities for families to engage with student learning and school events.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to enrich educational programming and student opportunities.

4. Upgrade Facilities and Learning Environments Through Strategic Planning

  • Advance the district’s Five-Year Facilities Plan with input from all stakeholders.
  • Address critical infrastructure needs while pursuing aspirational upgrades that support academic, arts, and athletic programming.
  • Ensure construction and facilities work reflects long-term vision, safety, sustainability, and equitable access.
