• CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SALUTATORIAN

     

    Andrew Campbell, Salutatorian

    Greenport High School is proud to introduce Andrew Campbell as Salutatorian of the Class of 2024.  Andrew, while in high school, has participated in numerous extracurricular activities. Andrew is an avid member of the NJROTC unit, and has achieved the position of Battalion Executive Officer. He is also president of the National Honor Society, vice president of the school museum and the DECA clubs, lead prosecutor in the Mock Trial Club, and both the website director and layout editor of the school newspaper club, The Quill.  Outside of school, Andrew is a member of Boy Scout Troop 51 and has earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  In his free time, Andrew enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors.  This fall, Andrew plans to pursue a chemical engineering degree.  He has applied to Cornell University, and has been accepted at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI),  SUNY Binghamton, and SUNY Geneseo.  Alongside his degree, he plans on serving in the Army ROTC program, a program to which he has been awarded a three-year scholarship, enabling him to become an officer in the United States Army.  After graduation, Andrew plans on entering the field of electrochemical engineering, designing batteries for use in electric vehicles.
